Family Campout | Oct. 26
Sleep under the wing of a historic shuttle carrier aircraft in our Family Campout Oct. 26! You and your family will navigate your own space exploration journey while engaging in science, technology and engineering related activities. Build your own rocket and then see how high you can launch it. Train like an astronaut, learn about spacewalks, perform tasks conducted by astronauts and more.
Explorer Camps | Oct. 12, Oct. 26, Nov. 23, Nov. 25-27, & Nov. 30
Put your kiddo on the STEM pathway this fall! Our Explorer Camps offer single-day experiences as well as more immersive three-day camps to inspire campers through the wonders of space exploration. Children ages 11-14 explore robotics, rocketry, engineering, planetary science and more. Register today for a one-day camp Oct. 12, Oct. 26, Nov. 23 and Nov. 30 or a three-day camp Nov. 25-27.
Home School Day | Oct. 15
Discover space science and engineering through innovative, activities and special guest speakers at Home School Day Oct. 15. This year’s Home School Day will be held concurrently with the Association of Space Explorer’s Planetary Congress. This will be the largest ever collection of astronauts, cosmonauts and taikonauts and will feature public talks at the center.
FIRST LEGO League Camp-Ins | Oct. 5 & Nov. 2
At our FIRST LEGO League Camp-In events, FIRST teams have the opportunity to hear from NASA experts, engage in team building activities and interactive learning, compete in mini challenges with various robotic platforms, and explore artifacts that have furthered space exploration.
Sensory Friendly Event | Oct. 19
Space Center Houston invites people of all ages diagnosed with conditions such as, but not limited to, autism spectrum disorder and sensory processing disorder, to explore science and space exploration in a reduced sensory environment at our next Sensory Friendly event 8-10 a.m. Oct. 19.
