Apollo: When We Went to the Moon
Experience the Apollo era through the eyes of the engineers and astronauts who lived through it in our spring exhibit Apollo: When We Went to the Moon open Feb. 22 – May 2. This limited-time exhibit explores the triumphs of human space exploration from the beginning of the heated space race to the collaborative spirit of the International Space Station, and on to the next giant leap, a return to the Moon.
Apollo 13 exhibit at Rocket Park
See historic Apollo 13 artifacts including Mission Control’s iconic Apollo 13 CO2 Scrubber in person in our exhibit “Apollo 13: Failure is not an option,” presented by JSC Federal Credit Union. Just beneath the Saturn V command module in Rocket Park, explore this historic mission of perseverance.

See the newly installed one-of-a-kind, seven-foot bronze statue depicting the Apollo 13 astronauts. The new Apollo 13 bronze statue, by George and Mark Lundeen and Joey Bainer, depicts the safe return of Apollo 13 astronauts, Jim Lovell, Jack Swigert and Fred Haise the moment they stepped down from the recovery helicopter onto the USS Iwo Jima, a United States Navy assault ship. The Apollo 13 sculpture is the newest addition to Rocket Park as part of our NASA Tram Tour experience.
Astronaut Mission Memories
Have you ever wanted to meet an astronaut? Now is your chance! On Fridays and Saturdays, you can hear first-hand space mission experiences from a NASA astronaut. Astronaut Mission Memories. March 12, hear from Mike Foreman, veteran of two spaceflights logging over 26 days in space. March 13, hear from Tony Antonelli, veteran of two space flights logging over 24 days in space.
Space Expert Tour
Go on a guided adventure through the center, and get a detailed look at the past, present, and future of human space exploration with a Space Expert Tour. These intimate tours, which now include NASA facilities, are limited to just 10 guests at a time and last approximately an hour and a half. Space Expert Tours are offered daily, beginning at 9 a.m. Tickets are $69.95 and include general admission to Space Center Houston the day of your tour. Members enjoy a 20 percent discount off Space Expert Tours in addition to free admission to Space Center Houston.
Space Explorers: The ISS Experience
The largest production ever filmed in space, Space Explorers: The ISS Experience, is an epic four-part immersive series that invites you to join eight astronauts on their life-changing missions aboard the International Space Station (ISS). Step out of the station with them for the first ever VR spacewalk and feel the transformative effects of floating in open space.
SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket
See one of only two SpaceX Falcon 9 boosters on display and the first commercial space exhibit for Space Center Houston. Walk underneath this twice-flown marvel of reusable space technology and learn more about how it is making space more accessible. This marvel of modern technology is now open and included in general admission.
Women’s History Month artifacts
Celebrate Women’s History Month at Space Center Houston by visiting our Astronaut Gallery, where you will find spaceflight artifacts worn by pioneering women astronauts. See Judy Resnik’s T-38 flight suit, Sally Ride’s shuttle inflight coveralls, and Kathryn Sullivan’s Shuttle Extravehicular Mobility Unit, all included with general admission.
Family Campouts
