Mellodee White
Research Portfolio Manager for the International Space Station (ISS) at NASA Johnson Space Center
Mellodee White is a Research Portfolio Manager for the International Space Station (ISS) at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. She plays an essential role in the ISS Research Integration Office where she provides support and guidance to scientists seeking to fly their experiments on the ISS. Her responsibilities include verifying experiment feasibility, acceptance, mission integration, on orbit execution by astronaut crew members, and communication of scientific results. The science investigations come from various clients, which include the NASA Headquarters-based Biological and Physical Sciences Division (BPS), the ISS National Laboratory (ISSNL), as well as the NASA’s Human Research Program (HRP).
She supports the Human Health and Performance Contract (HHPC) with KBR and her dedication and hard work have not gone unnoticed and in May 2024 was the recipient of a Silver Achievement Medal, which is awarded to Government and non-Government individuals by NASA Center Directors for a stellar achievement that supports one or more of NASA’s Core Values (Safety, Integrity, Teamwork, Excellence, and Inclusion).
