The post-conference event is designed to endorse a healthy lifestyle by integrating aspects of “Train like an Astronaut” for inspiration. It is accessible to the general public upon purchasing entry to Space Center Houston and is complimentary for participants of the primary SHOP-24 Conference.

  • 2:00-2:30 p.m.: Prioritizing Women’s Health and Fitness in Spaceflight: Lessons Learned from Earth – Dr. Nicole Strock
  • 3:00-3:30 p.m. : Nutrition for Health and Performance – Mr. Brett Singer
  • 4:00-4:45 p.m.: Resilience Across the Lifespan- Insight for Living A Fulfilled Life – Mr. Robert Andrews

University of Houston will have a booth promoting “Are you Stronger than an Astronaut” to test your strength, balance and cardiovascular fitness! When Astronauts prepare for Space, fitness is a must! Come see how you prepare by being tested on various devices from the experts from University of Houston.

Explore the Memorial Herman booth for a journey into healthy living from fitness recommendations, to nutrition and mental resiliency. Learn how to care for yourself, just as the Astronauts do while living on the International Space Station!
