Sensory Friendly Lunar New Year Celebration

Friday, February 20, 2026
โ€“Friday, February 20, 2026
9:00 am
โ€“10:00 am
*Included in general admission

Space Center Houston invites guests of all ages who may benefit from a reduced sensory environment, including those with sensory sensitivities, autism, or similar needs, to explore science and space exploration in a calmer setting. Join us at Space Center Houston to celebrate Lunar New Year and experience the rich traditions behind this vibrant holiday!

We adjust lighting, reduce volume and sound effects, and limit crowds to help prevent overstimulation.

Wishing Tree

Celebrate the new year by making your wish for 2026! Our volunteers will place your wishes on the tree for all to see.

Pop-Up Labs

Join us in our Main Plaza to learn about the moon with our pop-up labs highlighting lunar craters, the phases of the moon, and a scavenger hunt to find all the zodiacs.
