You’re invited to enjoy exclusive activities, activations and more at Space Center Houston’s annual Planet Earth Celebration on April 25 and 26. Explore how special our planet is and what we can do to sustain, conserve, and preserve its vital natural resources.

Featured activities

-Take a bite out of Wolfgang Puck Chef Chats | 11:00am, 12:00pm & 1:00pm | Learn how to give your food waste and ways to grow your own garden at home with Chef Charmaine in the Food Lab!

-Take home a tree from Trees for Houston | Trees for Houston has been around for 41 years, now plants more than 70,000 trees per year throughout our region. They will provide a total of 1,000 trees to giveaway for free to guests as part of our Planet Earth Celebration.

-Dive into how we can preserve the ocean and its marine life | Join the Texas Marine Mammal Stranding Network to learn about marine mammals using fun hands-on activities including identifying animal bones and feeling how blubber keeps these marine mammals warm in cold water.

-Enjoy special activities in Independence Plaza! | What better way to celebrate Planet Earth than by being outside! We will have outdoor games, chalk artists, a DJ, and pop-up science activities in our Independence Plaza overlooking our historic and original NASA 905 shuttle carrier aircraft.
