VIDEO | “The Space Race” Documentary Panel Discussion

In January 2024, Space Center Houston in collaboration with National Geographic hosted a special screening event and panel discussion on the documentary “The Space Race.” This panel featured Black astronauts and aerospace legends, such as Artemis 2 NASA astronaut Victor Glover, Leland Melvin, Ed Dwight, alongside directors Lisa Cortes and Diego Hurtado de Mendoza.

The film “The Space Race” weaves together the stories of Black astronauts seeking to break the bonds of social injustice to reach for the stars, including Guion Bluford, Ed Dwight and Charles Bolden, among many others.

“The Space Race” is now available streaming on Hulu and Disney+.
