Get Involved

At Space Center Houston, there are many opportunities – online or in-person – for you to lend your time and expertise to help cultivate future leaders, increase science confidence and inspire the public:

Participate in our Mentor Café!

Mentor Café is an opportunity for you to engage and encourage our Girls STEM Pathway participants for 10 one-hour sessions on Tuesdays from 5-6PM spanning 2024-2025. Prior to the beginning of this program, mentors will be asked to attend a preprogram training session. This session will allow for our mentors to become informed on how the program operates, helpful tips for session engagement and an opportunity to ask questions.

Become a Conrad Challenge Judge

Students in the Conrad Challenge create innovative solutions to real-world challenges while preparing for success in a global workplace. The Challenge encourages creativity, critical thinking, and entrepreneurial collaboration among teams worldwide. Each year, we invite individuals to serve as online Judges in industry, government, research, and academia to develop future innovators, entrepreneurs, and leaders.

We are currently seeking judges for the 2024-2025 season. If you are interested in becoming a Judge for the 2024-2025 Conrad Challenge and helping to shape the future of innovation, please complete and submit the form to be added to our mailing list for upcoming judging opportunities.

In-center Volunteer Opportunities

As a volunteer, you’ll have a positive impact not only on Space Center Houston, but also on the local and global communities we serve. Volunteer in our education programs inspiring the astronauts and engineers of tomorrow, help our staff welcoming guests from around the globe, or play a vital role in both daytime and evening special events.

Learn about the space program and share your knowledge with our guests as they explore our attractions. Volunteer in amazing areas such as Starship Gallery and Astronaut Gallery where hundreds of unique space and science artifacts are housed and Independence Plaza where the high-fidelity space shuttle replica is mounted on top of the historic shuttle carrier aircraft NASA 905.
