Out-of-this-world opportunities to make a real difference await you at Space Center Houston. Whether it’s on the museum floor or behind the scenes, we have a position to fit your interests.

Child learns about spacesuits

Learn about the space program and share your knowledge with our guests as they explore our attractions. Volunteer in amazing areas such as Starship Gallery and Astronaut Gallery where hundreds of unique space and science artifacts are housed and Independence Plaza where the high-fidelity space shuttle replica is mounted on top of the historic shuttle carrier aircraft NASA 905.

We also offer “behind-the-scenes” volunteer opportunities to share your personal and professional skills in office and clerical positions.

As a volunteer you will receive stellar benefits including:

  • Discounts at the SpaceTrader Gift Shop and Zero-G Diner
  • Two complimentary tickets to Space Center Houston for every 60 hours of service
  • Training opportunities
  • Meet interesting people, develop skills and experience personal growth
  • Special events and recognition awards
  • Rewarding feeling from serving the community
  • Volunteer pass

Space Center Houston volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and should be able to work a four-hour shift each week. Summer youth volunteers must be between 15 and 17 years old.
