Special Presentation – Deep-Sea Science

Live Broadcast from the Gulf of Mexico
Sunday April 21st
Space Center Theater – 1:00pm

Experience science at sea in real time as experts work to restore deep-sea habitats that were impacted by the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. Learn about the amazing corals, fish, and more that live deep in the Gulf of Mexico and how underwater robots and other technology help make this restoration possible hundreds to thousands of feet below the surface. During the 45-minute event, there will be opportunities to ask your questions to the experts. To learn more about these projects and think about questions to ask the team at sea while connecting with them in the theater, visit the Mesophotic and Deep Benthic Communities Restoration webpage: https://www.fisheries.noaa.gov/southeast/habitat-conservation/mesophotic-and-deep-benthic-communities-restoration

Join these wonderful organizations for a day of learning about the earth through fun hands-on activities!
