Colonel Chris Hadfield is a heavily decorated astronaut, engineer, combat fighter/test pilot and space business leader. Formerly NASA’s Director of Operations in Russia, Chris spent more than three decades working for the Air Force, NASA and the Canadian Space Agency. Throughout his career, he has flown three space missions, helped build two space stations, performed two spacewalks, crewed the Shuttle and Soyuz, and commanded the International Space Station. His many awards include the Order of Canada, the Meritorious Service Cross, and the NASA Exceptional Service Medal. 

Chris is the author of five internationally best-selling books: two non-fiction books, An Astronaut’s Guide to Life on Earth and You Are Here; a children’s book, The Darkest Dark; and two fiction thrillers, The Apollo Murders and The Defector.
