For years, NASA has been planning our return to the Moon, preparing the public for our next giant leap in history. Now, that vision has become reality, as four astronauts have traveled farther into lunar orbit than ever before.
But how do we bring this off-planet experience down to Earth? At Space Center Houston, we share the story of Artemis daily and bring it to life through our education programs. Whether you’re navigating mission control, engineering new designs, or training as a team, take your curiosity one step further by exploring our Artemis-inspired programs:
Space U Odyssey | Ages 11-17
Session 1 | June 28 – July 3, 2026
Session 2 | July 12 – 17, 2026

Led by the collaborative partnership between NASA, Space Center Houston, and San Jacinto Counsel’s Camp Strake. This summer, Camp Strake becomes a launchpad for discovery as Space Center Houston’s Space U joins forces with the timeless spirit of summer camp and the thrill of NASA missions. This new, five-day sleepaway experience at Camp Strake is unlike any other camp in Texas.
Space U | Ages 11-18
Sessions May 25, 2026 – October 11, 2026

Built around real-world space exploration, the program features project-based teamwork, guest speakers from NASA, and – for select sessions- a live presentation with an astronaut. Students enjoy daily lunch onsite, then wrap their experience with a graduation ceremony and certificate. It’s a standout choice for families searching for space camps in Houston that combine education, inspiration and once-in-a-lifetime access.
Stars & STEM | Ages 11-18
April 26, 2026

Explore how the extreme challenges of space flight lead to breakthroughs that improve life on Earth. Participants will investigate how orbital gardening addresses food scarcity, how astronaut health studies advance our understanding of the human heart, and how the heat shields designed to withstand re-entry keep astronauts safe. Through three hands-on engineering and biology challenges, students will discover that while we reach for the stars, the benefits of our journey stay firmly planted on the ground.
