On Aug. 1, we celebrated this year’s new and renewing members at our Last Call Before Fall event and gave members a preview of what’s on tap at Space Center Houston this fall.
Members launched into astronaut training with NASA virtual reality headsets to get glimpse into how astronauts push human extremes to prepare for life in space.
Children participated in STEM activities including a robotics course as well as our Train Like an Astronaut interactive challenge. They also learned about ultraviolent light and how we are using it to study other planets.
Our members also enjoyed music and special guests, plus complimentary treats and specialty cocktails. Check out the photo gallery below to see the activities.
