On Memorial Day, we honor those who served and sacrificed

Apollo astronaut on the Moon with the American flag behind him.

Thanks to the service of many in the military, NASA was able to move forward with exploration of the space beyond our world. Their courage and dedication to ensuring a better world is something we always honor, and will never forget. Today, we honor and remember all of those in the military who sacrificed.

Did you know we made history by hosting the first live Oath of Enlistment, or “swear-in,” ceremony administered from space in February? Click here to watch the ceremony and learn more about it.
