At Space Center Houston, we believe that curiosity has no limits, and access to the wonders of space should be just as boundless. That’s why we’re proud to introduce the Community Level Program.
This program marks a bold step in our mission to show how science and humanity drive space exploration. Through the new Community Levels, individuals and families in the Houston area receiving government assistance such as WIC or SNAP can now access Space Center Houston at a reduced rate, with discounts based on benefit levels to ensure accessibility where it’s needed most.
This powerful program is made possible through the generosity of our Discovery Circle Members, whose support is truly opening doors for others. The philanthropic portion of Discovery Circle memberships are funding these reduced rates, turning one family’s gift into another’s opportunity. Thanks to the Discovery Circle, more individuals can access meaningful experiences that inspire curiosity, learning, and growth.
These levels are more than just access to our center. They’re an invitation to explore, to learn, and to imagine what’s possible.
Enrollment is currently available on-site only.
The application form can be found at the information desk inside Space Center Houston. Please present a valid ID and proof of government assistance to a membership representative at our Guest Services Desk.

Become part of the Space Center Houston Discovery Circle and learn how you can make a difference.
To qualify for the Community Membership Program, individuals must present identification for one of the following programs: Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Specified Low-Income Medicare Beneficiary (SLMB), or Qualified Medicare Beneficiary (QMB). If you receive assistance from a program not listed, please contact membership services at [email protected].
At this time, the Community Membership Program is only available for onsite applications during operating hours. We will explore the possibility of offering online applications in the future.
The Community Membership Program applies to Individual, Dual, Family, and Friends & Family memberships.
