Join Space Center Houston for Heroes Appreciation Month

The beacon that guided us through the darkest times of Hurricane Harvey was the first responders and military personnel who worked tirelessly to rescue people.

It was the Coast Guard boating into flooded neighborhoods when streets became impassable. It was National Guardsmen evacuating people from their roofs. It was all the police officers, emergency medical personnel and firefighters who worked continuously to provide support and protection for the displaced.

Members of the military, police, firefighters and emergency medical personnel keep us all safe, sound and able to explore the wonders of the cosmos.

These heroes inspire us every day with their dedication to our communities. We couldn’t appreciate them more for all they do to keep us safe. That’s why, for the third straight year, November is Heroes Appreciation Month at Space Center Houston.

Members of the military, police, fire and emergency medical technicians will receive free admission Nov. 1-30 by showing their public service or military IDs or badges at any of the Space Center Houston ticket windows.

Friends and family of the heroes can save $5 off regular admission online only by signing up for our email list at These special offers are valid through Nov. 30.

Everyday heroes gave us all hope after Harvey. Let’s thank them again for their service and dedication.
