Panelists

Dr. Michelle Hanlon

Dr. Michelle Hanlon is the executive director of the Air and Space Law Program and its Center for Air and Space Law at the University of Mississippi. She serves as editor-in-chief of the Journal of Space Law and the Journal of Drone Law and Policy. Hanlon is a co-founder, president and CEO of For All Moonkind, Inc., a nonprofit focused on protecting human cultural heritage in outer space. She played a key role in developing and passing the One Small Step Act in the United States. For All Moonkind is recognized by the United Nations as a permanent observer to the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space and recently launched its Institute on Space Law and Ethics. Hanlon is also a founding partner of ABH Space Law and an advisor at the Beyond Earth Institute and The Hague Institute for Global Justice Off-World Project.

Art Dula

Art Dula assists clients with corporate, aerospace, and intellectual property law. He is a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and has served as chairman of the American Bar Association’s Section of Science and Technology. Dula’s interest in space and space law is reflected in his memberships with the International Academy of Astronautics and the International Institute of Space Law. He has taught Space Law, Environmental Law and Legal Ethics as an adjunct professor at the University of Houston Law Center for many years.
