The Next Frontier of Summer Camps

This summer, we’re exploring our next frontier with Space U Odyssey, our new five-day STEM sleepaway experience for ages 11-17. Here, campers won’t just learn about space—they’ll live it, diving into hands-on programs inspired by real NASA missions alongside the timeless fun of summer camp at Camp Strake.

From enjoying the great outdoors to exploring the great beyond. Space U Odyssey provides campers with an immersive experience fit for Space City.

Classic Camp Adventures

  • Swimming
  • Canoeing
  • Rock Climbing
  • Ziplining
  • Archery
  • Ropes Course

Mission Experiences

  • Rocket Build & Launch
  • Lunar Navigation
  • Space Nutrition Challenge

This new frontier empowers campers not just to grow their STEM skills, but to challenge themselves, step outside their comfort zone, and adapt to obstacles in real time—just like a real mission crew. “I think this is a unique opportunity because it gives them an authentic way that astronauts train,” said Dr. Savannah Hayes, Manager of Curriculum at Space Center Houston. “Astronauts do a lot of fieldwork in their training, and we’re excited to provide that out here at Odyssey, with all the wonderful resources that Camp Strake has for us.”
