The weeklong programs will challenge students beyond their perceived limits and help them to grasp their potential as real-world problem-solvers, according to Daniel Newmyer, the center’s vice president of education.

“We have an extraordinary learning program in a unique environment dedicated to space exploration,” said Newmyer. “We provide exposure and opportunities that help campers make informed decisions on a future in science, technology, engineering and math.”

Children ages 4-11 will discover how science and technology can solve problems that astronauts traveling to Mars will face.

These camps feature a learning laboratory environment that will explore the mission from the journey to Mars to surviving on its inhospitable surface. Hands-on science activities include rocketry, coding, robotics, geology and habitat design.

Each camp is five days and immerses campers in all that Space Center Houston has to offer, including the Mission Mars exhibit, the blockbuster Destination Moon: the Apollo 11 Mission and the unique opportunity to go inside the working facilities at NASA Johnson Space Center.

Do your part to help inspire the next generation of explorers whose creative minds could solve the challenges of reaching the red planet. Register today before camps fill up by visiting or call (281) 283-4755.
