Mars Perseverance Rover 3D Model

On July 30, the Mars 2020 mission is scheduled to launch with its Perseverance rover. This mission is part of NASA’s Mars Exploration Program, a long-term effort of robotic exploration of the Red Planet. It has high-priority science goals for Mars exploration, including research about the potential for life on Mars.

The Perseverance rover will carry seven scientific instruments in order to seek signs of ancient life and collect rock and soil samples for possible return to Earth. The rover’s size is: Length: 3m (10ft); Width: 2.7m (9ft); Height: 2.2m (7ft); Weight: 1,025kg (2,260lbs).

When you visit Space Center Houston, come see our Mission Mars exhibit. Working closely with NASA to develop the exhibit, it begins with a look at how our view of the red planet has changed through the ages and guides visitors through NASA’s journey to Mars. Discover what it takes to travel to Mars, what hardware will get us to the fourth planet in our solar system and how humans may live on the red planet in the next few decades.

With this 3D model, you can explore the rover from all angles. Just click (or touch) and drag to interact with the Mars 2020 Perseverance Rover.
