15th Annual Space Exploration Educators Conference
February 5-7, 2009
This conference is for Grades K-12 – and not just for science teachers! Space Center Houston strives to use space to teach across the curriculum. The activities presented can be used for science, language arts, mathematics, history, and more!
Space Center Houston is proud to continue offering the educational opportunity of a lifetime! Three days of complete submersion into the out-of-this world adventure of space exploration! Attend sessions hosted by the actual scientists and engineers working on these exciting endeavors including the International Space Station, Mars exploration, and the planets beyond. Hear from the astronauts leading the charge in exploration! Come learn about the bold vision to send humans back to the Moon and off to Mars! Attend sessions presented by educators and receive ready to implement classroom ideas and experience minds-on, hands-on fun! Not to mention the wonderful networking with fellow educators, the multitude of cross curriculum ideas and activities you will take back to the classroom, and 24 hours of Continuing Professional Education credit.

Registration for the 2009 Space Exploration Educator Conference will begin Monday, October 20, 2008.
What's New at SEEC?
New Reception Experience
You are invited to a new SEEC Reception experience, the 2009 "Taste of Space" Epicurean Evening. The event will take place at Space Center Houston from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. in place of the usual conference reception.
This event is a cultural experience showcasing the Clear Lake Area's finest restaurants, food and beverages. All of your food and alcoholic /nonalcoholic beverages are included in the $249 conference registration fee. There is no need to purchase a ticket for the event if you are registered as a conference presenter or attendee. If you would like to purchase an additional ticket for a guest, the cost is $28.
Improved Conference Schedule
Because of the overwhelming requests to extend the length of the break-out sessions and time between each session, a new and improved conference schedule has been made. Please take time to look at the new schedule.

ATTENTION POTENTIAL PRESENTERS
The conference is an up-beat gathering of space enthusiasts and novices alike. The goal of SEEC is to provide intelligent fun and encourage teachers to use space to teach in their classroom. Over 500 educators gather for this event each year from around the United States. Throughout the last few years, conference attendees have also joined us from Canada, Japan, Taiwan, South Africa, and Europe.
Space Center Houston is looking for interactive, hands-on sessions that present exciting classroom activities for students.
Accepted session proposals are eligible for up to two complimentary admissions to the conference. Presenters must be working in the field of education.
