Hands-On Activities

ASTRONAUT TRAINING CAMP (AGES 4-6):
Do you like space and want to become an astronaut someday? Come and complete our Astronaut Training Camp and become a certified astronaut! You can land on the moon, make your very own space suit, go on an EVA mission, and find the rocket that you want to take you to the moon!!!

ELEMENTARY (GRADES 2-5):
Your students will blast off to an evening full of fun! They will design and test air rockets that launch to outstanding heights, learn the history of manned space flight with a scavenger hunt and tour of our Starship Gallery and explore the ends of our solar system in our brand new Planetarium and build Galileo Telescopes so they can explore more at home!

JUNIOR HIGH (GRADES 6-8):
Your students will become Junior Engineers as they test and develop new rockets and robotics. In "Rocket Science" your students will use Newton's 3rd law to launch their rockets and then determine the speed at which they traveled. In "CEV" we will teach your students about NASA's new Constellation program and our drive for the moon. They will then continue that mission and design new transportation to get us to Mars. Finally, in order to work in space, we need robotics. Your students will develop new robotic arms that will assist their astronauts on a mission.

HIGH SCHOOL (GRADES 9-12):
Ever been curious on how we plan to get back to the moon? Well now's your chance to learn about our new Constellation Program and build a rocket that you can launch to the moon and back. Once you get there you are going to need a way to explore. Build a robotic rover that can help you pick up rocks and move different parts that you need to explore the moon and other new planets!!!
